Since her graduation from UC Davis in 2017 with a degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, Shea has been using her systems thinking background to help organizations transition academic theory into practical business application. Her passion lies in establishing organizational Sustainability Vision and Culture and managing collaborative teams to increase buy-in, improve efficiencies, and communicate successes. As the Sustainability Coordinator for Nugget Markets, she has cemented sustainability as a part of their culture, earning them SEAL’s Most Sustainable Business in the World Award in 2020 and Sacramento Area Business of the Year Award in 2019.
